Privacy policy
Last Updated: June 20, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Friends of Ashley Esposito (the "Committee," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and discloses information in connection with www.ashleyesposito.com and any other websites, online forms, or digital tools that link to this Privacy Policy (together, the "Site"), as well as information we collect when you interact with us offline, such as at events or through volunteer sign-ups.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date above and, for material changes, may post a notice on the Site or notify you by email. Please check back periodically.
Information We Collect
Information you give us directly. This includes information you provide when you make a donation, sign up to volunteer, RSVP for an event, sign a petition, contact us, or sign up for email or text updates. This may include your name, mailing address, email address, phone number, social media handle, employer and occupation (as required for campaign finance reporting), and payment information.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, we may automatically collect log data (browser type, access times, pages viewed, IP address, referring page), device information (device type, operating system, device identifiers), and information from cookies and similar tracking technologies (such as pixels) that help us understand how the Site is used.
Information from other sources. If you log in through a social media account, we may receive information from that platform under its own permissions. If you donate through ActBlue or a similar processor, we receive transaction and donor information from that processor.
How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to: operate, maintain, and improve the Site; process donations and send confirmations or receipts; respond to your messages and requests; send you campaign updates, event invitations, and volunteer opportunities; comply with Maryland campaign finance disclosure requirements; analyze how people use the Site; and otherwise support the Committee's campaign for Ashley Esposito's election to the Baltimore City Board of School Commissioners.
As a U.S.-based political committee, we are subject to U.S. and Maryland law, and information you provide will be processed and stored in the United States.
How We Share Information
We may share your information with vendors and contractors who perform services on our behalf (such as email, texting, or donor-management platforms); when required by law, subpoena, or court order; to protect the rights, safety, or property of the Committee or others; in connection with a transfer of campaign assets (such as to a successor committee); with allied campaigns, party committees, or coalition partners with your consent; and, for petition signers, as public information that may be shared with election officials, the press, or elected officials as part of the petition process.
Text message opt-in data is never shared with third parties for their own marketing purposes, except with vendors who process texts on our behalf or as required by law.
We may also share aggregated, de-identified information that does not identify you personally.
Links to Other Sites
The Site may link to third-party sites, such as ActBlue for donations. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and this Policy does not cover them. We encourage you to review their policies before sharing information.
Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising
We may use cookies and similar technologies, including analytics tools like Google Analytics, to understand Site usage and to support online advertising, including remarketing ads on other sites based on your visit to ours. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies, though this may affect Site functionality. You can learn more about interest-based advertising opt-outs at www.aboutads.info/choices, and about Google's ad settings directly through Google.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect information from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, but no online system is completely secure.
Your Choices
You can ask us to update, correct, or delete your information by emailing contact@ashleyesposito.com. We may need to retain certain records to comply with Maryland campaign finance law. You can opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in any email, and opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP. You can adjust mobile push notification settings on your device at any time.
